Episode 62: Pee Wee Gaskins Part One

PEE WEE GASKINS, a name infamous in the annals of true crime.
 
He was called the meanest man in America, and the redneck Charles Manson. He drove a hearse and had his own graveyard where he’d dispose of victims, victims he’d poisoned, shot, stabbed, strangled, drowned bludgeoned, even using explosives to blow a man’s head off in the most unlikely of places. He killed men, he killed women, he even killed children, including a two-year-old infant.
 
At the end of his life he’d claim to be a sex crazed serial killer and confess to over a hundred murders, though most of them are believed to be fabricated, but there can be no denying those buried on his land and those he later led police to.
 
Yes, there is no doubt that Pee Wee Gaskins was a stone-cold killer, and that a minimum of fifteen people had met their end through his hands. But he was a self-confessed liar and master manipulator, and like most psychopaths, used a litany of masks to hide his true nature, making it quite difficult to differentiate fact from fiction, and ever understanding who the true Pee Wee Gaskins was.
 
So, we are going to take an interesting approach, and view him from the eyes of two writers who were hired to write his life story, and the two very different versions of his life and crimes they were given.

Episode 60: Samuel Little the Most Prolific Serial Killer in American History

Among all the notorious serial killers who dominated headlines in the 1970s and 1980s, none were as prolific and cunning as Samuel Little, infamously known as the "Choke and Stroke Killer.”
 
Similar to Joseph DeAngelo, the notorious Golden State Killer, Little continued his reign of terror well into old age, evading capture until the 2010s when advancements in DNA technology finally led to his apprehension.
However, unlike Joseph DeAngelo, Samuel Little's criminal activities were not entirely clandestine. He had been suspected and even arrested for numerous sexual assaults and murders over the years. The baffling question of how and why he was repeatedly released, allowing him to claim the lives of potentially 93 women over a span of thirty-five years, paints a grim picture of societal neglect and indifference towards marginalized communities.
The narrative of Samuel Little's life and eventual confession is so bizarre it's hard to believe, delving into realms of darkness and depravity that defy comprehension. Episode 59: Jason Moss the Teenage Serial Killer Whisperer

Jason Moss was obsessed with serial killers as a teenager, and wrote letters to John Wayne Gacy, Richard Ramirez, Charlie Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer and Henry Lee Lucas, trying to deceive them into telling him their darkest secrets.
 
These interactions led him to incredibly dark places, both physically and mentally.
 
Physically, he found himself in the visiting room of death row with John Wayne Gacy, who abused and threatened to sexually assault the teenager.
 
Mentally he began to have horrible nightmares and suffer severe bouts of depression. After writing a book about his experiences called THE LAST VICTIM, Jason Moss eventually took his own life.

Episode 56: Leonard Lake and Charles Ng

Leonard Lake and Charles Ng are two of the most infamous and horrible names in all of true crime, the first to document their horrific deeds on video tape. The savagery and inhumanity of these two ex-Marines is soul shattering and evil beyond belief.
 
Today we document the life of Leonard Lake: his childhood in San Francisco, his time in Vietnam, his exploits as a hippie and pot grower on a commune in the redwoods of Mendocino County, how he used a unicorn goat at a Renaissance Festival to seduce a woman named Cricket, who’d become an accomplice in his deviant sexual escapades.
 
Investigators believe as many as twenty-five bodies, including at least two infants, would eventually be burned, buried and spread throughout the forests of the Sierra Nevada foothills where Cricket had a cabin and let Leonard Lake and his friend Charles Ng live.
